Revolt Motors is one of the electric two-wheeler manufacturers that have benefitted from the recent revisions in the FAME II subsidy for EVs. Its flagship electric bike, the RV400, meets all the eligibility criteria to get the increased subsidy by the government. As a result, its price has been reduced by Rs 28,000 and the electric bike now costs Rs 90,799. Notably, it was previously priced at Rs 1,19,000.
Revolt Motors had also announced this week that it’s re-opening online bookings for its electric two-wheelers from today, 18 June 2021. However, the company stopped taking bookings within a few minutes as the existing batch was sold out. The company is expected to restart bookings in a couple of weeks. The prospective buyers can visit Revolt’s official website and choose to be notified as soon as its resumes.
At present, Revolt Motors has a presence in six cities across India including Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad. The company stated in its release that they restarted bookings after confirming the delivery dates of the orders that were already received. The company is also working on increasing its annual production capacity for decreasing the waiting period for its customers. It is also preparing to expand its retail and service network across 35 cities in India.
