New Ducati Multistrada V2: All you need to know

The Multistrada V2 is Ducati’s latest offering for global markets and was unveiled as part of the Ducati World Premiere 2022. While its Indian launch date is currently unknown, it will surely make its way to our country sometime next year. So, here we tell you all that you need to know about the new Ducati Multistrada V2.

Unchanged styling

The Multistrada V2 will replace the Multistrada 950 internationally, including in India. However, there are quite a few similarities between the two- one of which is the styling. Inspired by the bigger Multistrada 1260, the Multi V2 sports a distinctive front end with flared air-intakes and split, full-LED headlamps. The large windscreen and fuel tank along with the signature style LED tail lamps complete the design. And just like the Multistrada 950, the V2 is offered in two variants- standard and S.

New colours

The update has brought in a new colour called Street Grey to the Multistrada V2 S that will replace the white colour scheme on the 950 S. Similar to the latter, the Street Grey paint scheme includes red rims. On the other hand, the Ducati Red remains the same and is offered on both versions.

Slightly revised performance

The new Ducati Multistrada V2 continues with the same 937cc Testastretta, twin-cylinder engine as the Multistrada 950. It delivers 111.5bhp like before, although the torque has increased from 94Nm to 96Nm on the V2. Moreover, Ducati has also focused on weight reductin resulting in the Multi V2 being 5kg lighter than the 950.

Unchanged list of features

TFT / Instrument Cluster

The manufacturer has left the electronic rider aids untouched. So, the Multistrada V2 comes with cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Vehicle Hold Control, and four riding modes- Sport, Touring, Urban, and Enduro. The S variant, meanwhile, benefits from Ducati Skyhook Suspension EVO semi-active suspension system, a cruise control system, Ducati Cornering Lights, Ducati Quick Shift Up & Down, a five-inch colour TFT display, and backlit handlebar controls as standard.

Availability

The new Ducati Multistrada V2 will be available in international markets from November 2021 and we can expect it to be launched in India sometime in 2022.
