Harley-Davidson recalls over 2.35 lakh bikes over clutch issue

- 2,38,300 Harley-Davidson bikes are being recalled

- 2017,2018 Touring, Trike, CVO Touring models are affected

Harley-Davidson has issued a recall notice in United States for close to 2,38,300 motorcycles. This recall is related to a clutch problem. 

As per Harley-Davidson, all model-year 2017 and 2018 Touring, Trike and CVO Touring models, as well as some 2017 Softails are part of this recall. This isn’t the first time the American manufacturer has issued a recall notice for its bikes over clutch issues. In 2016, the company had recalled 27,232 bikes across 14 models. In 2015, 45,901 Harley-Davidson bikes were recalled as well. In 2013, around 29,046 bikes were recalled. 

The company is getting in touch with the affected customers. These customers will be asked to bring the bikes to the service centre to fix the issue which will be done at no cost to the customer. It’s still not clear if the bikes in Europe and Asia will be recalled as well. If that happens, then we are looking at one of the biggest motorcycles recall ever.
