Classic Legends has decided to stop taking online bookings for its recently launched brand, Jawa. The Jawa Standard and the Jawa Forty-Two were launched in November with much fanfare and the bookings commenced from day one.
The Indian buyers will have time till 25 December midnight to buy through online booking. Post that, an interested buyer has to walk in into one of their showrooms to book a Jawa. It made sense for this brand to begin with online bookings, as the showrooms were yet to be operational. Now that the company is in the process of opening showrooms across the country, it made sense for it to shut the online booking engine and move the focus towards its showrooms.
Unfortunately, the company refused to share the number of bookings it has received till now. So it’s a little difficult to say if the brand had a good start. Plus, the production of these bikes are yet to begin and there’s no information on the production plan or the capacity for 2019. So all these aspects make us hold onto our horses and see the real numbers that will start coming in from March 2019 – the month the official deliveries will begin.
