Harley-Davidson conducts its first riding academy program in Mumbai

- Designed for both new and experienced riders

- Was attended by 30 participants

- Four expert coaches qualified by training veteran Mike Loydall

With the aim for Harley-Davidson owners to experience their motorcycles to the fullest, the company had recently conducted it’s first Harley-Davidson Riding Academy (HDRA) program in Mumbai. The global program has been brought to India to provide an opportunity for customers to improve their skills to ride a large displacement motorcycle with confidence. The inaugural program was held at CIDCO exhibition centre in Navi Mumbai which witnessed the participation of 30 riders.

The HDRA is designed for both new as well as experienced riders and has been structured after accumulating decades of understanding riding behaviour, according to the release. For India, Harley-Davidson India has appointed four coaches who have been trained under the watchful eye of Mike Loydall, a veteran motorcycle trainer with over three decades of experience. The participants received theoretical and practical sessions on topics such as the theory of motorcycle controls, controlled braking and slow speed control. Besides that, there were a variety of other drills that were repeated multiple times so that participants could understand and learn them properly.

Harley-Davidson India will be replicating the HDRA across all authorized dealerships over the next few months.
