Yamaha Motor India has announced the launch of the OBD2-compliant 2023 YZF-R15 V4 in our market, and the latest iteration of the 155cc motorcycle benefits from a new colour theme. The company has announced the launch of the Intensity White paint theme that joins the standard variant of the motorcycle. Thus, with this addition, the standard model of the YZF-R15 V4 is available in four colours – Metallic Red, Dark Knight, Racing Blue, and the new Intensity White. Meanwhile, the M variant of the YZF-R15 is available in a single paint theme – Metallic Grey.
All paint themes on the standard variant of the YZF-R15 V4 get different decals and a contrasting shade for the alloy wheels. For example, the Metallic Red gets black alloy wheels, while the Dark Knight shade features golden-coloured units. The Racing Blue and Intensity White paint options get blue and orange-coloured alloy wheels, respectively. The colour options affect the prices of the YZF-R15 V4 range. Notably, the mechanical specifications across the range comprise an OBD2-compliant, 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) system. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this motor delivers a maximum output of 18.1bhp at 10,000rpm and a peak torque of 14.2Nm at 7,500rpm.
The equipment on the standard model includes a projector-style LED headlight, Bluetooth-enabled LCD instrument cluster, dual-channel ABS, two modes (Track and Road), traction control system, and a quick-shifter (available as an accessory for Dark Knight and Metallic Red paint themes). The M variant further benefits from LED turn indicators and a colour-TFT display. The Yamaha YZF-R15 V4 range rivals the likes of the KTM RC200 in the Indian market.
