2023 KTM RC 200 OBD2 launched in India at Rs 2.17 lakh

KTM India has updated its fully-faired range of motorcycles with OBD2. The company has launched the 2023 RC 200 with the OBD2 system at Rs 2.17 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

What are the mechanical specifications of the 2023 KTM RC 200

The 2023 KTM RC 200 continues to be powered by the same 199cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine churns out 24bhp of peak power at 10,000rpm and maximum torque of 19.2Nm at 8,000rpm. This motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox.

What features does the 2023 KTM RC 200 get?

The new KTM RC 200 is equipped with all LED lights. That means there's LED on the headlight, taillight, and even the turn indicators. The instrument cluster is LCD in nature and it shows plenty of ride information, like distance-to-empty, gear indicator, and real-time fuel efficiency. This bike gets dual-channel ABS as standard, with the option to switch off the rear ABS.

Are the styling cues any different on the 2023 KTM RC 200?

There aren't any styling changes on the 2023 variant of the RC 200. The bike continues to sport the aggressive fascia that houses a large headlamp. There's a small windscreen too that helps with the overall aerodynamics of the motorcycle. The 2023 RC 200 is available in Metallic Silver and Dark Galvano colours.

What hardware does the 2023 KTM RC 200 use?

The suspension setup on the motorcycle comprises 43mm upside-down Apex front forks and a 10-step preload-adjustable rear monoshock. The brakes are from Bybre. At the front, there's a 320mm single disc with a radially-mounted calliper and a 230mm single rotor with a floating calliper at the back. The motorcycle is built around a tubular split-trellis frame with a bolted sub-frame and has a kerb weight of 172kg.

What are the prices and rivals of the 2023 KTM RC 200?

The 2023 KTM RC 200 has been priced marginally higher than the older version, and it now comes at Rs. 2.17 lakh. Its nearest rival is the Yamaha YZF-R15, priced at Rs 1.96 lakh, and the Suzuki Gixxer SF250 at Rs 1.94 lakh. Both the prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
