Harley-Davidson India has confirmed to launch their much awaited motorcycle, the Street 750 on February 5 at the 2014 Auto Expo. The launch will take place at 9:40 am at Stall No E11 inside Hall 4 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida.
The Street 750 that was first unveiled last year at 2013 EICMA event is very important for the American manufacturer. This is their first global model along with the Street 500 that will be completely manufacturer in India at their Bawal plant in Haryana. The bike was recently unveiled at the 2014 India Bike Week held at Goa.
The Street 750 is powered by a 749cc liquid-cooled V-Twin engine. The belt driven rear wheel gets power via six-speed gearbox. The wheels are 17-inch and 15-inch at the front and rear respectively and come with MRF zapper tyres. The Street 750 uses a single disc / single caliper step-up both at the front and rear for braking.
A top official of Harley-Davidson India has confirmed that the on-road price of the Street 750 will be under Rs 5 lakh. Those who are thinking if the Street 750 is priced so low, how much will India get the Street 500 for? Unfortunately, the Street 500 won’t make it to India and will be sold in few markets in Europe and Asia.
