Suzuki Burgman Street 125 vs Suzuki Gixxer SF [2015-2018]

When we speak of maxi-styled scooters in India, although the list is fairly short, the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 is one of the popular names in the category. But recently, the company launched an updated version of it with the ‘EX’ badge and a premium of Rs 19,000

The Burgman Street ushers in a new class of scooters. Besides the daily commute, we have ridden it around with a pillion, taken it off the beaten track, and we have also done an intercity road trip on the scooter. And, after nearly three months we are ready to wrap things up. Here then is a list of things we liked and some we didn’t about living with the Burgman Street.  

What is a scooter? It needs to epitomise comfort, ease of riding, and a stress-free commute. After having ridden the Burgman Street in the city for a month and nearly 700km, we think it comes pretty close to that.

There was a time when Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was basking in his own glory. He was famous for being shirtless, flexing his muscles, quite similar to one of the products he endorses, the Suzuki Gixxer.  But, now times have come when the brand ambassador of Suzuki has had to 'cover' himself up, and while Suzuki has followed the suit, they seem to have done a much better job. Enter the Gixxer SF, faired version of the very successful 150cc motorcycle. The company is promoting it as 'The Street Sport Bike', which is one of its kinds in that price bracket. We set astride the motorcycle to find out if the SF is Salman Khan in a Tuxedo or it has even more substance to offer.
