Sporty Looks, Real Attitude: Living with the Aprilia SR 125 Since 2020

I bought my Aprilia SR 125 in March 2020, and after using it for several years, I have a clear understanding of what it offers. The design is what initially caught my attention. It has a sporty and aggressive look that still stands out on the road even today. Compared to most scooters, it feels more performance-oriented and unique. In terms of performance, the SR 125 has been quite satisfying. The engine is responsive and delivers enough power for daily city rides as well as occasional highway use. It never really feels underpowered in normal riding conditions, and the pickup is good enough to keep things fun.Handling is easily one of its strongest points. The wide tyres provide excellent grip, and the scooter feels very stable, especially while cornering. It gives more confidence than most scooters in this segment. On the downside, the suspension is a bit stiff, so rough roads can feel uncomfortable at times. Mileage in my experience has been around 35 km/l, which is decent but not the best.Another thing to consider is maintenance. While the scooter performs well, the cost of servicing and spare parts is slightly on the higher side compared to typical scooters, which might matter if you’re on a tight budget.Pros:* Sporty and eye-catching design* Strong and responsive performance* Excellent handling and stabilityCons:* Stiff suspension on bad roads* Average mileage* Service and spare parts are a bit expensiveFinal Verdict:After owning it since March 2020, I can say the Aprilia SR 125 is a great choice for someone who wants a sporty, fun-to-ride scooter with solid performance and handling. However, you should be ready for slightly higher maintenance costs in the long run.

The buying experience was decent but could have been better, riding is a bit on the stiffer side but yeah that compromises when it comes to the performance, it's an absolute pocket rocket, this is the BMW of scooters when it comes to handling and performance, its literally a bike without a manual transmission, 11/10 for designing, yeah I'm serious, the best-looking two-wheeler in its class, servicing is decent too, but very few locations which is a downside but then again it is a premium/ sports scooter, can't complainPros: every aspect other than the absence of some cool tech the competitors have, and the exhaust note could have been better.Cons: the same as above and people who are complaining about the mileage, go get an activity then, you people don't belong here, this is the premium space :)Like seriously, this is a performance-oriented scooter from Aprilia, not your average grocery-getter. Aprilia's are for the enthusiasts.
