The Aprilia SR is a brand of scooters made by Aprilia two wheeler manufacturer in India. There are 4 SR models on offer with price starting from Rs. 1,13,290 (avg. Ex-showroom). The cheapest model under the series is Aprilia SR 125 with 124.45cc engine generating 9.97 bhp of power. Whereas the most expensive model is Aprilia SR 175 with 174.7cc engine generating 13.08 bhp of power.

The SR brand from Aprilia is all about great performance and standout styling. It was launched at the time when there was strong demand for scooters but there wasn’t any performance scooters in the market. The Italian maker first entered this fun segment with a 150cc scooter which was later followed by a 125cc one. The SR brand still has a great fan following and manages to entice Indian customers till date.

The SR150 is a sporty scooter and quite a unique one, thanks to the presence of large 14-inch wheels. There’s no other scooter in the country with such large wheels. The SR150 also benefits from a powerful 150cc scooter that delivers good amount of power. The scooter rides on metallic black alloy wheels. At the front is a standard telescopic suspension while the rear gets a single-side coil spring. The headlamps are integrated into the cowl of the fascia, but the indicators have been positioned on the handlebar.

The SR125 is a 125cc variant of the famous SR125. Most of the aesthetics and cycle parts are from the SR150 but the SR125 does get a few exclusive things. The SR125 is built on a tubular steel frame and uses telescopic forks at the front and a single coil spring at the rear for suspension duties. Meanwhile, braking is done by a 220mm disc at the front and a 140mm drum at the rear. The SR125 rides on large 14-inch wheels borrowed from its bigger sibling.

Piaggio launched the SR160 when it increased the displacement due to BS6 emission norms. In terms of hardware, the SR160 retains the same wheels, suspension and brakes. It rides on large 14-inch alloy wheels which are suspended by 30mm telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is delivered by a 220mm disc at the front and a 140mm drum at the rear, assisted by a single-channel ABS as standard. The list of features includes a semi-digital instrument cluster and conventional headlamp with an LED tail lamp.

      Best Good Looking Scooter
      Harshpreet Singh Sidhu
It’s much cheaper for a reason. It’s an air cooled 175cc motor making 13 bhp. Aerox has a liquid-cooled 155 making 15 bhp. And knowing how the current gen sr160 gives horrible mileage compared to the Aerox , this one might be even worse.best scooter for tours.i love the colours it offers looks very different from others.

Sporty Looks, Real Attitude: Living with the Aprilia SR 125 Since 2020
      2 weeks ago
      Sannidhya
I bought my Aprilia SR 125 in March 2020, and after using it for several years, I have a clear understanding of what it offers. The design is what initially caught my attention. It has a sporty and aggressive look that still stands out on the road even today. Compared to most scooters, it feels more performance-oriented and unique. In terms of performance, the SR 125 has been quite satisfying. The engine is responsive and delivers enough power for daily city rides as well as occasional highway use. It never really feels underpowered in normal riding conditions, and the pickup is good enough to keep things fun. Handling is easily one of its strongest points. The wide tyres provide excellent grip, and the scooter feels very stable, especially while cornering. It gives more confidence than most scooters in this segment. On the downside, the suspension is a bit stiff, so rough roads can feel uncomfortable at times. Mileage in my experience has been around 35 km/l, which is decent but not the best. Another thing to consider is maintenance. While the scooter performs well, the cost of servicing and spare parts is slightly on the higher side compared to typical scooters, which might matter if you’re on a tight budget. Pros: * Sporty and eye-catching design * Strong and responsive performance * Excellent handling and stability Cons: * Stiff suspension on bad roads * Average mileage * Service and spare parts are a bit expensive Final Verdict: After owning it since March 2020, I can say the Aprilia SR 125 is a great choice for someone who wants a sporty, fun-to-ride scooter with solid performance and handling. However, you should be ready for slightly higher maintenance costs in the long run.

      Torky and perky quicky scooter

I purchased this scooter on a pre-launch offer. The first batch of manicuring all Italian parts. Too much torque and in zoomed nature. This bike is used only in the city and on the society's premises. New battery fitted and rear tyre replaced. well-maintained condition. Regular service is done at the authorized dealer's end only.

Perfect, just go for it for daily use, it's perfect even for long rides, it goes smoothly in kinetic. This is the beast and the best part of the mileage it gives, around 35/40 it's better in this segment and fame the Aprilia having more than others compared to Honda, TVS, and many more. I recommend this bike. Thankyou.!!
