About Ridge Plus

Okinawa Ridge Plus is an electric scooter available at a starting price of Rs. 66,973 in India. It is available in only 1 variant and 2 colours. Okinawa Ridge Plus generates 800 W power from its motor. With both front and rear drum brakes, Okinawa Ridge Plus comes up with electronically assisted braking system.

The Okinawa Ridge+ is the flagship scooter in Okinawa’s range. It supersedes the Praise by virtue of its lithium-ion battery, which allows it a range of 120km on a single charge. Top speed is a claimed 55kmph. It also gets the same features that the Praise gets: namely, keyless start, anti-theft alarm, e-ABS, and the ‘Find My Scooter’ feature.

It is available in two colours, dark blue and an orange/grey combination. With its feature set, it doesn’t have any real competition in the Indian market, but Hero Electric and Yo Bikes both have a range of electric scooters to offer.

Okinawa Ridge Plus Expert Opinion

  • Good Things

    • The asking price is set on the affordable side
    • Charging time is just 2-3 hours
    • Claimed range is 84km
  • Could be Better

    • Claimed top speed is just 45kmph
    • Poor brand recall
    • Gets drum brakes at both ends

BikeWale's Take

The Okinawa Ridge Plus not only costs less but also gets a low charging time of 2-3 hours. It offers a decent claimed range of 84km but the braking setup comprises just drums at both ends. Not to mention, the product is unproven for the market.
