- Okinawa sells over 2.5 lakh electric two-wheelers
- Launches eight new colours for the i-Praise Plus and Praise Pro
- Both scooters remain unchanged mechanically
Gurgaon-based electric two-wheeler maker, Okinawa Autotech recently surpassed the 2.5 lakh unit sales milestone in India. To celebrate the occasion, the company has announced the launch of as many as four new colour options for the Praise Pro and i-Praise e-scooters each.
The more premium model, i-Praise Plus is now available in Liquid Metal, Mauve Purple, Electric Green, and Ocean Blue shades. On the other hand, the more affordable Praise Pro comes draped in Sun Orange, Seafoam Green, Military Green, and Mocha Brown colour options. As for the rest of the aspects of these scooters, including design, features, and specifications, all of it has been left unchanged.
The Okinawa Praise Pro is priced at Rs 99,645. It incorporates a 2.08kWh lithium-ion removable battery pack which is claimed to deliver an 81km range under ideal test conditions. This battery powers a 2.7kW motor that can attain a top speed of 56kmph, as per the brand’s website. However, it was capable of going over 70kmph during our road test review.
As for the higher-spec i-Praise Plus, it runs on a larger 3.6kWh detachable lithium-ion battery pack which propels a 2.7kWh motor. Similar to the Praise Pro, the top speed of the i-Praise is also mentioned as 56kmph on the brand’s website. However, it can certainly go faster. While the charging time for the Pro trim is between two to three hours, the i-Praise’s battery takes about four to five hours to get fully charged. Furthermore, both scooters come equipped with modern features like an anti-theft alarm, Locate My Scooter function, a USB charging port, and walk assistance.
