New Ducati Multistrada V4 revealed

- Available in three variants – V4, V4 S, and V4 S Sport

Ducati has revealed the latest iteration of its Multistrada series, the new Multistrada V4. The flagship ADV-sports tourer was unveiled to the world during the first episode of the Ducati World Première web series. The V4 powered Multistrada will be available in three variants – V4, V4 S, and the V4 S Sport.

In terms of styling, the new Multistrada V4 retains the overall silhouette of the Multistrada family. Ducati claims that the new model packs revised proportions and compactness to favour the combination of form and function. The updated model features a twin-pod headlight, adjustable windscreen, a 22-litre fuel tank, and split-style seats. The hardware on the Multistrada V4 includes an aluminium monocoque frame, 19-inch front wheel, and a double-sided swingarm.

Mechanical specifications on the new Multistrada V4 series comprise of a new 1,158cc, 90-degree V-layout, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor produces 168bhp of power at 10,000rpm and 125Nm of peak torque at 8,750rpm. The oil change interval is scheduled every 15,000km, while a valve clearance check and eventual adjustment are required every 60,000km.

The comprehensive electronic package on the standard Multistrada V4, which works with the inertial platform (IMU), includes ABS Cornering, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), and Ducati Traction Control (DTC). The Multistrada V4 S further benefits from Cornering Lights (DCL), Vehicle Hold Control (VHC), and the semi-active Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) control system with Autoleveling function. The Multistrada V4 also benefits from a front and rear radar system, which allows the use of Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD).

Ducati Multistrada 1260 Instrument Cluster

The standard Multistrada V4 is available in Red while the V4 S can be bought in Red and Aviator Grey colours. The Ducati Multistrada V4 S can be ordered with both alloy wheels and spoked wheels. Buyers can also select from a new package of configurations from the factory – Essential, Travel, Radar, Performance, and Full. Lastly, the Multistrada V4 S Sport comes with dedicated livery and the standard Performance package with Akrapovič exhaust and carbon front fender.
