2019 Kawasaki KX450 revealed

- Gets a more powerful engine.

- New aluminum frame.

- Upgrades suspension and brake setup.

Kawasaki has revealed the KX450 motocross bike for 2019. 

While the bike looks similar to its predecessor which is sold in India, the 2019 model gets minor cosmetic updates. The tank cover and tank extensions have been made longer and smoother, that would aid in better riding movement. Kawasaki is also offering the bike is four handlebar and two foot peg positions for additional riding comfort.

The bike tips the scales at 110kg and uses a lightweight aluminum perimeter frame that houses the 449cc, single-cylinder engine as a stressed member. Kawasaki has re-tuned this motor on the 2019 KX450 which now produces 3.4bhp more than the 2018 model. It is mated to a hydraulic clutch that offers smoother lever action. 

The bike also gets upgrades suspension and braking hardware. It gets 49mm inverted coil spring forks up front and a rear monoshock; both sourced from Showa. While the front continues to use a 270mm disc, it gets a new master cylinder. Meanwhile, braking on the rear end is done by a bigger 250mm disc.

The 2019 KX450 will only be available in the trademark lime green colour. The bike will be globally launched in the next couple of months. We can expect it to arrive on our shores by the end of this year.
