Ducati Link smartphone application launched

- Developed in partnership with e-Novia.

- Records information supplied by the on-board computer.

- Currently available only for the Multistrada 1260 range.

Ducati has launched a new smartphone application called the Ducati Link in partnership with e-Novia, a Milan-based software company.

The Ducati Link is available for download on both Android and iOS platform. It connects to the bike via Bluetooth and records information provided by the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) like lean angle, power delivery, acceleration and speed. The rider can then analyse the performance of the bike at the end of the ride. It also records the routes travelled by integrating photos and comments along with allowing the rider to share details and images to other bikers. 

The application also lets the rider customise the riding mode, ABS, and Ducati Traction Control (DTC) directly from the smartphone. It also notifies the rider when the next service is due along with displaying the owner’s manual and Ducati Store locator. 

While the function of recording and sharing of details and images is available for all models; the exchange of data between motorcycle and application is only available on the Multistrada 1260 range. Nevertheless, Ducati claims that this functionality will be available on other models soon. The Ducati Link app is currently accessible only to foreign markets and is likely to made available for Indian customers in the next few months.
