I’ve been riding the Speed 400 for the past six months, and honestly, it’s the most well-balanced motorcycle I’ve owned. It perfectly bridges the gap between performance and everyday usability. The 398cc liquid-cooled engine delivers smooth, punchy power—enough to make highway rides exciting but still manageable in city traffic. The throttle response feels refined, not jerky like some mid-segment bikes.
Build quality is solid. From the metal tank to the premium switchgear, everything feels sturdy and well put together. The seat is surprisingly comfortable for long rides, and the upright riding posture means you can cruise for hours without back pain. Even with my daily commute through chaotic traffic, the bike never feels heavy or clumsy.
Mileage averages around 28–30 km/l, which is acceptable for the kind of performance it delivers. The suspension tuning hits a sweet spot—absorbs potholes well without feeling soft at high speeds. And yes, that exhaust note has just the right growl—subtle in the city, satisfying on open roads.
If I had to nitpick, I’d say the heat management could’ve been better in slow traffic, and the rear-view mirrors vibrate slightly at higher revs. But apart from that, it’s hard to complain.
In short, the Speed 400 isn’t just a good-looking machine—it’s a genuinely practical performance bike. Whether you’re a daily commuter or a weekend tourer, it gives you the best of both worlds without burning a hole in your pocket.

The bike's look and design are outstanding for those who need a mature type of bike. The experience during the service was good. A person with a height of 5.4 ft can easily handle the bike. And mileage remains approx 29 even after 1st servicing. And before 1st servicing mileage was around 27-28kmpl. Performance on the highway is much better than other 400cc bikes. Rider can easily handle 110kmph without any vibration, and above 120, you can notice slight vibration, but it is minor and can be neglected, and does not affect your comfort.

Negativity:- paint quality, headlight visibility is low, Rear brakes and suspension could be better
My experience:- Triumph needs to improve its service, and it should not give the feeling of Bajaj. The person should feel that he has bought a Triumph bike and not a Bajaj bike, so please.
