Suzuki Access 125 CBS: What else can you buy

Suzuki recently introduced the Access 125 in India with a combi-braking system (CBS) at a price of Rs 58,980 (ex-showroom). If you are on a similar budget and looking for something other than the Access 125, there are a bunch of scooters and motorcycles you could look at. Here is the list of what else you can buy at the price of the Suzuki Access 125 CBS.

The Access 125 competes with the Honda Activa 125 which retails at Rs 59,669. Honda also offers a trendier looking scooter, the Grazia with a price tag of Rs 60,695. Both scooters are powered by a 124cc engine that produces 8.5bhp and 10.5Nm of torque. TVS has the Ntorq125 retailing at Rs 62,300. It uses a 124cc engine that puts out 9.1bhp and 10.5Nm of torque. 

                               

You could look at the TVS Jupiter which is powered by a 109cc engine that produces 7.8bhp and 8Nm of torque. Honda offers two scooters in the 110cc category; the Activa 5G and Aviator. Both use a 109cc engine that produces 8bhp and 8.83Nm of torque. While the Activa 5G is priced at Rs 54,643, the Aviator costs Rs 55,371. Yamaha offers the Fascino and the Cygnus Ray ZR priced at Rs 56,082 and Rs 54,553 respectively. The scooters use the same 113cc engine that produces 7.1bhp and 8.1Nm of torque.

                          

The Indian market offers two electric scooters around the Access 125 CBS’s price tag, the Hero Electric Cruz Li and Okinawa Praise. While the Cruz Li will cost you Rs 54,502, the Okinawa Praise will set you back by Rs 59,889.

In the commuter motorcycle category, you have eight options to choose from. There is the Suzuki Hayate EP priced at Rs 54,603. It uses a 113cc engine that produces 8.6bhp and 9.3Nm of torque. Also on offer is the Honda Dream Yuga which retails at Rs 54,881.  It is powered by a 109cc engine that puts out 8.2bhpand 8.6Nm of torque.

If you want slightly bigger capacity commuter motorcycles, there is the Hero Super Splendor and the Glamour i3S priced at Rs 56,500 and Rs 60,600 respectively. While the Super Splendor’s 124cc engine produces 8.9bhp and 10.3Nm of torque, the Glamour i3S produces 11.4bhp and 11Nm of torque.

Bajaj offers two 125cc motorcycles, the V12 and Discover 125. The Discover 125 is priced at Rs 55,053. The V12 on the other hand has a neo-retro look and is priced at Rs 58,906. Both bikes use the same 124cc engine that produces 10.6bhp and 10.9Nm of torque. Honda has the CB Shine SP with a price tag of Rs 63,673. The bike uses a 124cc engine that puts out 10.5bhp and 10.3Nm of torque.
