Ola in talks to sell its first electric scooter to CESL

- Ola looking to sell e-scooters to govt 

- Currently building factory in Tamil Nadu 

- First scooter is based on Appscooter 

Ola Electric has decided to chase some government orders. The company has shown interest in selling its upcoming electric scooter to Convergence Energy Services Ltd (CESL) –a company owned by the government.  

According to a report, the company wants to makes its presence felt in government orders too. In fact, it is also looking to assist the green-push by setting up multiple charging points across the country. The company claims to build a factory in Tamil Nadu which once complete will be the world’s two-wheeler plant.  

Ola is likely to launch its first electric scooter in the next few weeks. This EV is rumoured to be based on Etergo’s Appscooter and will run for 100kms in a single charge. It is also likely to come a lot of modern features that is bound to make it an enticing product. However, there is no information on its pricing.
