Hero Electric, India’s number one electric two-wheeler maker is gearing up to launch a new high-speed scooter. Codenamed AXLHE-20, this scooter is expected to be their flagship scooter under the high-speed series.
Currently, Hero Electric has three e-scooters under high-speed series, Nyx, Photon and Photon 72 V. The upcoming scooter is expected to be the most expensive of the lot as it gets some top-spec features like 4000 watt motor, 85kmph top speed and 110kms riding distance on a single charge. It is also expected to get an instrument cluster that supports Bluetooth and smartphone application integration.
Along with this scooter, the company has nine other product launches in the pipeline for the current financial year. These launches are expected to bring more volumes and revenues for the company. Hero Electric has sold 30,000 scooters in the last financial year. It’s bullish about its future and plans to sell 6 lakh units annually by 2022-23.
