Ducati Scrambler recalled

Ducati has issued a recall for the Scrambler in the US. The recall refers to a possible fault in the kick stand assembly of the motorcycle, which might affect its sensor.

A loose pivot nut for the kick stand of the might get detached, leading to a failure of the kick stand position sensor. This can either lead to the motorcycle stalling or allowing rider to ride the motorcycle with the kickstand engaged. Over 5,500 Ducati Scrambler motorcycles manufactured between the February 17, 2015 and November 11, 2016 are covered under this recall.

The Scrambler motorcycles sold in the US are imported from Italy while for the Indian market, the bikes are sourced from Thailand. Nevertheless, we are awaiting a confirmation from Ducati India on whether the Scrambler motorcycles sold in India are also going to be recalled.
