- Tork T6X spotted testing in Pune
- Likely to get a top-speed of 100kmph
- Could be launched sometime soon
Pune-based manufacturer Tork Motors was recently spotted testing the T6X in Pune in production-ready form.
This test mule was adorned in camouflage but revealed essential details about the upcoming motorcycle. The T6X sports a bigger side fairing, different wheels and redesigned headlamp unit as compared to the test mule that was spotted in 2019. Moreover, it also gets revised switchgear with toggle switch to operate the 4.3-inch TFT display that it is likely to come with. And like many other electric two-wheelers in the market today, the Tork T6X is highly likely to offer two ride modes- Sport and Eco.
While it is yet to be seen what motor the production version of the T6X will use, the model shown in 2016 had a 6kW motor that produces 27Nm. Tork also claimed a top-speed of 100kmph and an impressive full charge within two hours. In terms of cycle parts, the T6X sports telescopic forks upfront and a monoshock at the rear while braking is done by disc brakes at both ends. It is also likely to come with regenerative braking as standard.
The Tork T6X was supposed to be launched in India back in April 2017 as the country’s first production electric motorcycle; a title now held by the Revolt RV400, which is its direct competitor. Nevertheless, we expect the manufacturer to finally make its debut sometime this year in the ever-growing market of EVs.
