Next-generation Ducati Panigale 959 spied again

-To be unveiled at Ducati World Premiere 2020

-Will continue to be powered by Ducati’s Superquadro V-twin motor

-Features a physically bigger exhaust canister and a single-sided swingarm

Ducati was spotted yet again testing the next-generation Panigale 959. This time, however, the motorcycle was spotted along with the upcoming Streetfighter V4, both completely camouflaged. The motorcycle was spied earlier in May with sections of its fairing covered in camouflage.

Now, looking at the new spy video, it is evident that Ducati has retained a major part of the design including the tank, tail section and the underbelly except for the front end which has been resculpted to match the V4. However, the two prominent changes present on the test mule were the presence of a slightly bigger exhaust canister and a single-sided swingarm instead of the double-sided one on the current generation Panigale 959.

Notably, the Italian bike maker has opted to continue using the Superquadro V-twin motor as the test bike featured the same engine covers. However, the motor has likely been extensively reworked including small displacement changes and twin-spark configuration to comply with Euro 5 norms.

Ducati will officially unveil the next-generation Panigale 959 at the Ducati World Premiere 2020 on 23 October along with the 2020 product range which will include the Streetfigher V4. The motorcycles will also be displayed at EICMA 2019, scheduled to be held in November in Milan, Italy.
