Yamaha Ray wins India Design Mark award

Yamaha Ray has won the India Design Mark (I Mark) award. It has instituted by the India Design Council and this is the second year that Yamaha has won the award. Last year, Yamaha’s YZF-R15 motorcycle took the category I mark award.

The ‘India Design Mark’ is a design standard which identifies, recognises and certifies good designs. The India Design Mark assures excellence in various quarters of identifying a good design like form, function, quality, safety, sustainability and exceptional innovation.

"Appreciation in any form is a welcome boost to a company and its products. I am very pleased with this recognition that I Mark has bestowed upon us and our scooter RAY. The response that we have been receiving for RAY is indeed very positive and encouraging.

We understand the needs of our customers and thus take great detail in our products in terms of styling and design. Therefore, this award not just realizes our efforts but also motivates us to continue creating more new and innovative products, “said Hiroyuki Suzuki, CEO and MD, India Yamaha Motor.
