About Optima

Hero Electric Optima is an electric scooters available at a starting price of Rs. 51,579 in India. It is available in 4 variants and 4 colours with top variant price starting from Rs. 78,554. Hero Electric Optima generates 250 W power from its motor. With both front and rear drum brakes, Hero Electric Optima comes up with combined braking system of both wheels.

The Optima is an eco-friendly electric scooter made by Hero Electric. The scooter has a sleek body with a broad comfortable seat. Hero offers the Optima in four variants, Optima LA and Optima LI in the Low Speed Series and the Optima E5 and the Optima ER in the High Speed Series.

Design-wise, all four variants follow the same form featuring a sleek design with a broad comfortable seat. The scooter is suspended by telescopic forks up front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is done by drum brakes at both ends.

The Low Speed Series models are available with a Lead Acid (LA) and a Lithium-ion (LI) battery, respectively. The former offers a range of 50km on a full charge which takes about eight hours, while the latter offers a range of 65km on a full charge which takes about four hours. Both models are powered by a 250W BDLC motor powered by a 48V/20Ah (48V/28Ah for LI model) and are capable on achieving a top speed of 25kmph.

In the High Speed Series, the Optima E5 and the Optima ER models are powered by a 600W/1200W BDLC hub motor and are capable of achieving a top speed of 40kmph. The Optima E5 features a single battery which returns a range of 55km on a full charge. The Optima ER, on the other hand, comes with dual batteries which extends the range to 110km on a full charge.

Hero Electric offed the Optima in three colour shades Cyan, Matte Red and Matte Grey. The Optima series does not require registration and can be ridden without a number plate or a riding license.

    Battery inflated in six months of purchase same happened 2-3 new batteries. Company should do something that the battery sustains atleast 1-2 year or 10000 km or may be 500 charging cycles. The body strength is not worth spending 36000 what I paid as it is very delicate
