A good scooter for everyone...Better for shorter riders and those who want excellent manoeuvrability

The buying experience was good .The salesmen and the manager at the showroom were quite helpful and assisted me with everything that i asked not only about the vehicle that i bought but also regarding other vehicles .I am referring to this because the salesmen at other showrooms especially in honda and hero are a bit snobbish in their approach.They are delusional that they have no competition.The public will buy their product.Well....That's the case in tier 2 and tier 3 cities atleast. The formalities were completed in quickly and was detailed as well.

Speaking of the riding experience,well i have owned this vehicle since 2012.The still rides like new.I don't know what the 'body balance technology' is ...But i have reason to believe that it has to do something with mass centralisation and it does work upto some extent.The vehicle is more manoeuvrable when compared to a bulky looking activa. One can cut through traffic more easily than other scooters of the same segment.And the best part is the suspension.Telescopic suspension at the front..Was the most important reason for me to choose the wego over the honda dio.Back in 2012 ,there were only a few scooters that provided telescopic suspension at the front.Honda still doesn't provide it in its activa 4g or the dio. They are not at all a value for money proposition.Steel body parts used in the vehicle makes it more robust.

Looks...Well...Looks are the only thing which is somewhat subjective when it comes to tvs wego.U won't turn heads with this one neither this is attention seeking.The only reason why i am rating this vehicle 4 out of 5 is the looks.The performance is at par with the competition.The vehicle doesn't loose breath even if the rider is cruising at 80kmph,this might sound a little underrated on paper but i am being genuine here providing the readers with real figures.I had a hero pleasure earlier and it used to go out of breath while at 60 with a pillion of course.

Until now the only cost i have encountered while owning this vehicle is the front break pads.I change it every alternate year after the monsoons.They start squeaking if i don't.Service cost is low but i have reason to believe that in the next 6 months time i will have to change its battery,it's been 5 years now that i haven't changed it .Do keep in mind that the body is made of metal so minor dents could be fixed easily when compared to plastic panels.While buying the vehicle,i installed a steel cage on it so it stays protected anyway.The mileage is stays good provided that the owner keeps the vehicle properly serviced.I get a mileage of 50-53 in city but when i am careless and skip servicing for ages,the mileage has evenly responded....I got it as bad as 28kmpl

Pros-

Robust built.The panels and parts don't wear off or go loose .

Good telescopic suspension ....One can encounter potholes and undulations on the roads with ease without breaking a bone

External fuel lid....The rider won't have to get down open up the seats to fill up fuel.

Alloy wheels..The scooter has alloy wheels as opposed to cast wheels .Alloy wheels are rust free and are much stronger when compared to cast wheels.Making them easy to maintain.

Easily manoeuvrable ...Cutting through traffic on this one is easy

Value for money..Overall it is a good value for money proposition.The owner won't have second thoughts about his buying decision if he/she decides to go for this bike

Breaking...Sync breaking system on the newer models work as cbs like that on honda scooters

Cons-

The cons are really trifles instead because overall as a package the scooter is still the best one in my books...But there are some cons ..

Looks----tvs really need to work on the looks on this one.The decals and the digital console on newer models does help but still this scooter is in desperate need of a face-lift.

Separate key slots for opening up the fuel lid the boot and the handle lock...Tvs should use a single lock mechanism ....Like it's there on the suzuki access and the new maestro edge...So that it makes the usability more effective

To conclude...If you go with this vehicle,you won't go wrong.This scooter brought with itself a number of features which were first for its segment...And yes ..Tvs continues to do so.

Tips for TVS Wego

Change engine oil at regular intervals ...every 6 months at the least for good mileage. Make sure that you check the break pads every 6 months to ascertain that they are not worn out

I have been using this bike for more than 10 years, very satisfactory design makes it useful and it became our family member, short, medium, and long drives, it gives very decent mileage, speed, and fantastic bike everyone should have in their homes, and offices.

Good experience at kushal tvs, owned the vehicle for 9 years now, still gives a mileage of 55+ on city use and that's very impressive.
It's good for daily use and also a bit of a long ride.
(usually below 70km)
Looks are ok and performance is also good, it gives more pull once you go above 41-42kmph speed.
Servicing also at a cheap rate and it's definitely recommended.

should you buy tvs wego

Buying experience: it was easy to buy and I didn't feel any problem in buying.
Riding experience: my riding experience is not great feels uncomfortable for a long ride and also it doesn't have more power for pick up so in traffic it might annoy you.
Details about looks, performance, etc.: details are ok but performance is not good enough it doesn't satisfy our expectations.
Servicing and maintenance: this vehicle needs lots of servicing if you would not give time for servicing its performance will go down and down it will start using more petrol
Pros and cons: I don't have many pros but I will only tell if you wanna learn how to ride scooter you should start from here cause it has low pick-up.
Cons: it has too many cons it is not pocket friendly now, needs more petrol, needs more servicing, also build quality is not that much good.
My recommendations: don't buy it go for other vehicles.

A true zippy scooty to appreciate

In spite of India's favorite Activa. I am always a crazy fan of Tvs Wego. The facelifted version of 2014. Tvs Wego is a visual treat. A universal scooter with sporty looks with sexy looking colour themes and fully loaded features launched ahead of its time had a long fan list. The list of features in wego was far ahead of other brand scooters in 2014. Using wego since 2014. With 35000 km done on a speedometer, I still don't find any scooter competitive to wego with loads of features. Smooth riding experience. Very easy and pocket-friendly maintenance with easy after-sales and services. Digital meter is a boon. Both sides lock handles. Brake lever lock. Front fork shock absorbers and gas-filled mono rear shock absorbers with 12". Alloy wheels and tubeless tyres body balance tech cvti transmission light body weight zippy in city traffic.
Cons. Small body-sized scooter not suitable for heavy body individuals.

Very good scooter long 12inch rim

I am driving this scooter for the last 2 years comfort and the pickup is a good long wheelbase 12 inch rim look-wise and very aggressive. Mileage around 48 kmpl.Boot storage area heat coming is only disadvantaging I have seen otherwise best scooter on the market. Very useful scooter for city riding. This scooter easily carries 2 people and the front space is also more.

Affordable maintenance, and low-cost spares.
Tough bike, good metallic body, cons lack of leg space, my next bike will surely be nothing else but only wego that's for sure.

It is amazing scooter, i am using it since 11 years, no running problems, minimum maintenance, fuel efficient, great pickup, nice road grip also at 60 kmph speed, comfortable seat and riding experience. Facing only problem that one can't get spares easily for this old model, one has to give order at service center in advance.

Amazing experience, I have sporty white colour 2016 model look attractive and amazing pickup and power and fully digital instrument cluster and 12inch alloys. pros - attractive looks and great power and torque larger alloys and golden eye indicator inbuilt parking light changeable to led parking light.

Worth money for buying TVS wego.
Its comfortable, suspension is so good
It's good , and gives good mileage also, Less maintenance, it's good for daily use, good price.
I love it riding.
Cheap price, good performance,
best scooter, I would recommend buying it for daily use it has a powerful engine also

It is amazing scooter, i am using it since 11 years, no running problems, minimum maintenance, fuel efficient, great pickup, nice road grip also at 60 kmph speed, comfortable seat and riding experience. Facing only problem that one can't get spares easily for this old model, one has to give order at service center in advance.

Amazing experience, I have sporty white colour 2016 model look attractive and amazing pickup and power and fully digital instrument cluster and 12inch alloys. pros - attractive looks and great power and torque larger alloys and golden eye indicator inbuilt parking light changeable to led parking light.

I have been using this bike for more than 10 years, very satisfactory design makes it useful and it became our family member, short, medium, and long drives, it gives very decent mileage, speed, and fantastic bike everyone should have in their homes, and offices.

Worth the money

Good experience at kushal tvs, owned the vehicle for 9 years now, still gives a mileage of 55+ on city use and that's very impressive.
It's good for daily use and also a bit of a long ride.
(usually below 70km)
Looks are ok and performance is also good, it gives more pull once you go above 41-42kmph speed.
Servicing also at a cheap rate and it's definitely recommended.

should you buy tvs wego

Buying experience: it was easy to buy and I didn't feel any problem in buying.
Riding experience: my riding experience is not great feels uncomfortable for a long ride and also it doesn't have more power for pick up so in traffic it might annoy you.
Details about looks, performance, etc.: details are ok but performance is not good enough it doesn't satisfy our expectations.
Servicing and maintenance: this vehicle needs lots of servicing if you would not give time for servicing its performance will go down and down it will start using more petrol
Pros and cons: I don't have many pros but I will only tell if you wanna learn how to ride scooter you should start from here cause it has low pick-up.
Cons: it has too many cons it is not pocket friendly now, needs more petrol, needs more servicing, also build quality is not that much good.
My recommendations: don't buy it go for other vehicles.

In spite of India's favorite Activa. I am always a crazy fan of Tvs Wego. The facelifted version of 2014. Tvs Wego is a visual treat. A universal scooter with sporty looks with sexy looking colour themes and fully loaded features launched ahead of its time had a long fan list. The list of features in wego was far ahead of other brand scooters in 2014. Using wego since 2014. With 35000 km done on a speedometer, I still don't find any scooter competitive to wego with loads of features. Smooth riding experience. Very easy and pocket-friendly maintenance with easy after-sales and services. Digital meter is a boon. Both sides lock handles. Brake lever lock. Front fork shock absorbers and gas-filled mono rear shock absorbers with 12". Alloy wheels and tubeless tyres body balance tech cvti transmission light body weight zippy in city traffic.
Cons. Small body-sized scooter not suitable for heavy body individuals.

Very good scooter long 12inch rim

I am driving this scooter for the last 2 years comfort and the pickup is a good long wheelbase 12 inch rim look-wise and very aggressive. Mileage around 48 kmpl.Boot storage area heat coming is only disadvantaging I have seen otherwise best scooter on the market. Very useful scooter for city riding. This scooter easily carries 2 people and the front space is also more.

Affordable maintenance, and low-cost spares.
Tough bike, good metallic body, cons lack of leg space, my next bike will surely be nothing else but only wego that's for sure.
