I purchased a Yamaha Ray ZR in November 2025. For the first month, everything was fine, but from December onwards I started facing serious battery issues.
The scooter does not start in the morning using the power button, and since there is no kick start, this becomes a major problem—especially for a brand-new scooter that is hardly two months old. This is completely unacceptable and very inconvenient in daily use.
Another major drawback is the auto start-stop (auto off) feature, which does not work properly. Compared to scooters like Honda Activa, where the feature activates smoothly within a few seconds and is genuinely helpful, the Ray ZR’s system feels unreliable and poorly implemented.
Overall, I feel this scooter is not value for money. At times of urgency, if the vehicle does not start or function as expected, it becomes useless. In such situations, the purpose of owning a scooter is completely defeated.
In hindsight, I regret not choosing Activa or Suzuki Access, which are far more reliable and practical. The Yamaha Ray ZR may look good, but it lacks usefulness and reliability.
Verdict: Good looks, poor real-world performance. For me, it has been a waste of money.

I brought this scooty during covid time, when everything was closed and transport was very limited. At that time buying a scooty was very useful decision for me. From that day till now I am using this scooty daily without any major problem. I have ride this scooty for more than 40,000+ kilometers, mostly for my college and daily works.
I use this scooty every day to go to my college. The distance from my home to college is around 18 km, and I travel back the same day. For petrol, I usually put ₹50 daily, and with that petrol I can easily go to college and also roam the streets with friends. Even after the college ride, still some petrol will still be remaining. Mileage is one of the best thing in this scooty. It gives nearly 40 km mileage, sometimes even little more if I ride smoothly.
Comfort wise also this scooty is good. The seat is comfortable for long rides and riding position is very relaxed. Even in traffic it is very easy to handle. During rush hours also I don’t feel tired because the scooty weight is balanced properly. Suspension is decent for city roads, small potholes are not a big issue.
Talking about maintenance, it is very affordable. Regular servicing is enough, and spare parts are easily available. Till now I didn’t face any big repair issue. Engine performance is still good even after 40,000 km. Pickup is smooth and engine sound is also not too loud.
One more thing I like is storage space. Under seat storage is enough to keep helmet or small bag. For college students like me it is very helpful. Design is simple but still looks good even today.
Overall, this scooty is very reliable and budget friendly. For daily college use, city rides, and small roaming, it is perfect. If someone wants good mileage, low maintenance and daily use vehicle, this scooty is really worth buying. Even after years of usage, I am still satisfied with my decision.

Total waste of money, week Body panel, mileage 36 /38 ka milta hai, ise achha sports bike leta to acha hota , bekar scooter🛵 hai, mat lo bhai log, or showroom vale to or ghatiya Kam karte hai, me Boisar showroom se servicing karta tha , worst service quality, kisiko meri scooter 🛵 Leni hogi to second hand de duga 2 year bhi nahi hua hai.
