The bike is extremely practical and feels designed for riders who want reliability rather than excitement. The engine is smooth and refined, with enough power for everyday riding. In traffic, the bike feels light and easy to handle, and on highways it can comfortably cruise at 70–80 km/h without stress. It is not meant for aggressive riding, but it does its job calmly and efficiently.
Mileage is one of the biggest strengths of the SP 125. In real-world conditions, it delivers around 55–60 km/l, which keeps fuel expenses low even with heavy daily use. The ride quality is comfortable, with an upright seating posture and a well-cushioned seat for both rider and pillion. Suspension handles bad roads reasonably well, making it suitable for Indian road conditions.
Maintenance and servicing are where this bike truly shines. Servicing cost is low compared to most bikes in this segment, and spare parts are affordable. Honda’s service centers are widely available across cities and towns, so getting the bike serviced is convenient. Regular services are simple, and the engine remains smooth even after long-term use.

Having spent almost two years now on the Honda SP125. The SP125 has always been punching above its weight in terms of its looks. It’s one of the reasons why I chose to purchase the bike. The most impressive thing is the Silent Start. It has been two years since its release, and it still amazes me that there is no "grrr-grrr" noise of the starter motor. You press the button, and the engine is simply on. As for the power, you get 11 HP. It is not a racing bike, but it is very "zippy" in the 0-60 km/h range. The 5-speed transmission is smooth, although sometimes it can be a bit tricky to find the neutral position after a long, hot ride in heavy traffic. Honda calls this bike the "Mileage King" , and for once, the advertising is not misleading. In the last two years of varied driving, half of which is done in city traffic and the other half in open roads, I have been averaging 60 to 65 kmpl. The seat height is comfortable, which is ideal for me. I am an average-height person, and the ability to put both feet firmly on the ground in bumper-to-bumper traffic is a blessing. I own the Disc Brake variant, which comes with a 240mm front disc. When you press the rear brake, some part of the front brake gets automatically engaged. With two years and 35,000 kilometers, I can honestly say I don’t regret my purchase.

I have been using this bike for more than two years now. I purchased it in October 2023. In the beginning, there were no issues, but after about three months, problems related to the meter started appearing. No matter how many times the time is set, it keeps resetting automatically and shows 1 o’clock again and again.
I visited the service center many times regarding this issue. They said it was a battery-related problem and recharged the battery, but the issue remained exactly the same. After some time, the meter started resetting again.
Now coming to the second issue — this bike has a serious heating problem. It feels as if my legs might catch fire. Even the company people do not seem to have any proper solution for this problem.
The third issue is about performance. It feels like the bike has to be forcefully pulled. When I ride above 60 km/h, it feels like I’m pushing the bike unnaturally. I start feeling scared that something might happen to the bike, especially because I bought it on loan.
The bike feels underpowered and dull while riding. I really don’t understand what kind of product Honda has made in the name of SP 125. I got trapped by the looks of the bike. They charged 3–4 thousand extra, but compromised on quality, which should never happen.
Overall, I would like to say this to everyone:
Friends, always think wisely, do proper research, and then buy a bike.
