LML electric scooter’s first spy shots surface; to rival Ather 450X and Ola S1 Pro

- Likely to be called the Star

- Name trademarked a few days ago

- Launch timeline not known yet

It was in September last year that LML announced its re-entry into the Indian market with electric two-wheelers. This was followed by the company trademarking ‘Star’ and ‘Hyperbike’ names for its initial products. Now, in further development, one of these products was recently spied in an almost production-ready form which is said to be the Star electric scooter.

The design of the LML Star seems to be a good blend of sporty and relaxed demeanor. The front fascia exudes a maxi-scooter vibe with a large front apron and an exposed motorcycle-like handlebar. The rear, meanwhile, looks more like a conventional scooter. In a nutshell, the design looks futuristic while not being overdone.

On the feature front, the scooter seems equipped with full-LED lighting, and a rectangular display which will mostly be an LCD unit. Also, it might sport connected and security features we are unaware of at present. As for the hardware package, what’s visible are alloy wheels suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock while the braking setup comprises a single disc at both ends. The propulsion system is said to have a mid-mounted motor with chain drive which extracts juice from the battery residing in the thick footboard.

The first look at what is expected to be the LML Star gives an impression that it will be a premium electric scooter. Hence, the potential rivals of the scooter are Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450X Gen 3, TVS iQube, and Bajaj Chetak.
