The Indian two-wheeler industry witnessed a slew of new two-wheeler launches last week! From electric scooters to big bikes, there were a variety of new entrants gracing our shores. In case you aren’t up to date with these launches, here’s a quick round-up.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 new colours

Royal Enfield added two new shades to the colour palette of its highly popular offering, the Hunter 350. Called Dapper O and Dapper G, the letters denote Orange and Green, respectively. Priced at Rs 1.69 lakh, these new colours join the Dapper White and Dapper Grey colours in the bike’s portfolio. Notably, all the specifications of the Hunter 350 remain unchanged.

Kawasaki Eliminator launch

Kawasaki brought the Eliminator to the Indian shores with a price tag of Rs 5,62,000. Being a cruiser-style motorcycle, it will go up against the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 in the country. Bookings for the Eliminator have already begun and deliveries are expected to take place soon. It comes powered by Kawasaki’s new 451cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 49bhp and 38Nm.

2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R launch

Kawasaki India also introduced the 2024 Ninja ZX-6R at a starting price of Rs 11.09 lakh which makes it roughly Rs 60,000 more expensive than the previous model that was discontinued post the introduction of stricter emission norms. The updates to the ZX-6R include refreshed styling that looks more aggressive than the previous bike. The rest of the aspects, including its 128bhp, 636cc, four-cylinder engine, have remained the same as its predecessor.

2024 Bajaj Chetak Premium launch

Bajaj Auto updated its electric two-wheeler portfolio by launching the 2024 Chetak Premium at Rs. 1.35 lakh. It finally gets a TFT screen, a higher top speed of 73kmph, and a longer range of 127km. Moreover, Bajaj has also introduced a new optional TecPac package which facilitates the Chetak Premium with a host of connectivity features.

Ather 450 Apex launch

Ather Energy has launched its most expensive electric scooter, the 450 Apex, in India at Rs. 1,89,000. It looks similar to the standard model on the design front but gets transparent body panels on the side which reveal the orange coloured frame on the inside. Further, it gets a 7kW motor linked to a 3.7kWh battery and this setup offers 100kmph of top speed, in the new Warp Plus mode, and a 157km of certified range.
