- Guerrilla 450 with production-ready parts spotted

Royal Enfield will expand its new 450cc platform with the launch of a street-focused Guerrilla 450 in July. This motorcycle is based on the Himalayan 450 platform.
Recently, the production version of this motorcycle was spotted on test, and from the picture, it is clear that Royal Enfield has readied the final version of the Guerrilla 450. This new motorcycle will be built around the same 450cc engine and chassis seen on the Himalayan 450, but there have been changes made to keep it street-focused.
The body panels like the fuel tank, seats and mudguards look nothing like the ones seen on the Himalayan 450. Even the front suspension is different as it’s the traditional telescopic forks covered with fork gaiters. The alloy wheels look 17-inch in size, and the tyres around it are likely to be from CEAT. There’s no clarity on the instrument cluster yet but it is highly unlikely to see a full-colour TFT screen like the Himalayan 450 to keep costs in check.
The Guerrilla 450 will get its power from a 452cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 39.47bhp at 8,000rpm and 40Nm at 5,500rpm in the Himalayan. But the six-speed gearbox’s ratio could be played with to suit the city riding nature.
The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is expected to be priced at around Rs. 2.4 lakh-Rs. 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom) and will compete with the Triumph Speed 400 and the Harley-Davidson X440. The official launch date of this bike hasn’t been revealed yet but we have received an invite from Royal Enfield for a new motorcycle ride in Spain. This motorcycle is likely to be the Guerrilla 450, and if that is the case, then this new Royal Enfield is expected to be launched in the third week of July.
