  • Trend setter in 150 cc segment

    Rahul Tiwari

1-buying experience was as good as the other brands but the resale value is really bad

2-riding experience is one of the best since it landed in the market, actually the best in its class, the real pioneer in 150 cc segment.

3-looks was not that impressive and the design was a little awkward but impressed the youth and the power lovers. Actually filled a gap between the 100 cc and 350 cc segment.Performance was at par with the best in its class but the bike was more known for its power and the looks than the performance or the mileage. Disc break effective but could make you skid on turns. Maximum speed is around 110 kmph and the mileage around 40 kmpl in city and around 50 on freeways.

4-needs a regular servicing but no special attention required as such, u need to change the engine oil regularly. A quite rough and tough bike in its segment.

5 pros: u will love the bulky looks, power, good mileage, effective braking, light weight, speed.

cons: disc break can make u skid on the turns, it vibrates a lot beyond 70 kmph, not good of tours or cruising,

    poor headlamps,

Best in class bike, i was sceptical when buying the bike, but i fell in love with the same as soon as 6 months,

Bajaj has come to a level that they make very good bikes. The spare parts and service cost is much lower to other competitors,

There are few things which bajaj has to fix which is the cone (fork alignment) and shock absorbers

Else the vehicle is top class.

    Srinivas

The price of this bike was within my budget. Riding experience was great, less noisy, good speed pick and very smooth. Look wise it is very attracting and performance was good and long running bike. Servicing & maintenance was little bit high. After 11 years also engine works smoothly. I love this bike. Overall mileage needs to be more improvement.

  • Pulsar 150- should you consider it

    Amaresh Kumar Sinha

Firstly, the buying experience was very nice. Easily available and the showroom people were also very nice.
For daily use, this is a no brainer. Mileage is so-so good(around 40-45 in the city). Around 50 on highways. Also the bike is not that bulky so it can be handled easily
Look wise, pulsar is at par with any bike of this price range.
You don't need to spend much on service on maintenance.
    Pros-
    1. For daily use this is awesome.
    2. Mileage is pretty good
    3. Look wise awesome in this range
    4. Good pick up and also you can ride at low speeds in 3rd gear. So you don't need to shift gears every now and then
    Cons-
    1. If you ride continuously for 2-3 hours the engine gets too much heated. So you have to take a break in between. Nice if you ride for 150-200 km. But after that you will face issues, mainly heating problem
    2. Turning radius is not that good. So it is a problem
    3. There is a small hole in the silencer for water to come out. But sometimes this creates problem as you can feel that moisture and water when you start the bike

Great combination of power, style, mileage, not so costly spares, value for money bike. Using this bike for 15 years, still running fine. Applying for re registration, once done good to go for another 5 years. Few repairs to be done. Petrol tank and silencer got rusted and need to be changed. Only issue i ever face is water seeping in through petrol tank lid, for which i use cover during rainy season.

    Srijith

Best in class bike, i was sceptical when buying the bike, but i fell in love with the same as soon as 6 months,

Bajaj has come to a level that they make very good bikes. The spare parts and service cost is much lower to other competitors,

There are few things which bajaj has to fix which is the cone (fork alignment) and shock absorbers

Else the vehicle is top class.
