While the release of the Himalayan 452’s specifications was the biggest news last week, there was more to fuel the excitement of two-wheeler enthusiasts. In case you had a week busy enough to not be up to speed with these updates, here’s a quick round-up.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 specifications
Royal Enfield released the specifications of its much-hyped Himalayan 452 ahead of its India launch. The highlight of the motorcycle is its 450cc engine that gets liquid cooling, a first from RE. 2024 KTM 390 Adventure revealed
KTM introduced the 2024 version of the 390 Adventure for global markets. We can expect the motorcycle to land on the Indian shores in the coming months. The changes observed on the motorcycle include two new colour options with blacked-out hardware and the inclusion of orange knuckle guards. The rest of the aspects of the bike remain the same. We expect to observe a similar change in the motorcycle in India in the coming weeks.
Honda dropped a bomb in the form of the new XL750 Transalp adventure tourer in India. The smaller version of the Africa Twin has been priced at Rs. 11 lakh which is the introductory pricing and it will be increased in the near future. The first batch of the motorcycle in India will comprise 100 units only, bookings for which are already open at Honda’s BigWing dealerships. Powering the motorcycle is a 755cc parallel-twin engine that pumps out 90bhp and 75Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
TVS Ronin TD special edition launch
TVS Motor Company launched a special edition variant of the Ronin 225 in India ahead of the festive season. The special edition TVS Ronin TD is priced at Rs. 1.73 lakh, and comes equipped with a host of upgrades and a new paint scheme. Besides all the visual changes like a new colour scheme and graphics, it comes fitted with accessories like a USB charger, visor, and an FI cover. Mechanically, the special edition Ronin TD remains unchanged.
Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono unveil
Ducati has officially unveiled its latest and first single-cylinder bike in the last 30 years, the Hypermotard 698 Mono. The new Italian supermoto makes its debut just a few days after the bike maker introduced the Superquadro Mono engine which is its biggest talking point. This 695cc, liquid-cooled engine has been derived from the Panigale 1299’s Superquadro motor and it pumps out 77.5bhp and 63Nm. If fitted with the optional Termignoni racing exhaust, the power and torque go up to 84.5bhp and 67Nm.
