- It now has refreshed graphics and underbelly panel
- The pricing of the bike remains unchanged
- ABS has not been added yet
Bajaj has launched the updated version of its quarter-faired streetbike – the Pulsar 220F. The bike has received cosmetic tweaks while the engine and cycle parts remain unchanged. It is available in black colour with options of red and blue decals. The pricing of the bike remains the same at Rs 96,422 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
As for the changes, the Pulsar 220F has received refreshed decals that are similar to the recently updated Pulsar 150 twin disc variant. It gets sporty graphics on the tank with accents on the front mudguard, wheel rims and the rear cowl. Moreover, the bike now features an underbelly panel as an added styling element which also gets similar stickering.
The Bajaj Pulsar 220F is powered by a 220cc, air-cooled engine that churns out 21bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 19Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. The unit is mated to a five-speed gearbox. It gets telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers for carrying out suspension duties while braking is executed by a single disc on both ends. It gets a 15 litre fuel tank.
Although we recently came across spy shots of the Pulsar 220F with ABS, the upgraded model hasn’t got the safety net yet. We expect it to come soon. The motorcycle goes up against the TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS, Suzuki Gixxer SF, Yamaha Fazer FI V 2.0 and the Hero Xtreme 200R.
