Government extends license, registration validity till June 30

- Driving license validly extended till June 30 

- Also applicable to vehicle registrations, permits 

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has extended the validity of vehicle documents like license, registrations and permits that expired since February.  

The validity of the mentioned documents have now been pushed to June 30. That means, if anyone’s license of registration of cars got expired on or from February 1st, 2020, the validity of these documents are now valid till June 30. This decision was taken after a lot of citizens faced problem renewing these documents due to the current lockdown situation across the country.  

The government has asked all the states and Union territories to implement this new advisory so that none of the citizens or transporters that are involved in supplying of essential goods are harassed by the local security agencies.
