Ola Electric has achieved a new milestone by rolling out 1,00,000 scooters from the Futurefactory in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. The company commenced production at this plant in November last year. Speaking about the achievement, Bhavish Aggarwal, Founder and CEO, Ola Electric, said that the next one lakh units will be produced in half this time as the transition to electric vehicles gathers more pace.
The electric two-wheeler maker further added that it registered a strong momentum through the festive season. The company achieved 20,000 unit sales in October 2022, registering a month-on-month growth of 60 per cent. The company also expanded its product portfolio with the launch of S1 Air. This new variant of the S1 series will be available for bookings in February 2023 while the deliveries are expected to begin in April.
Apart from expanding its product portfolio, Ola Electric has also started operations at physical stores in the country. The company currently has 50 experience centres in operation across the country, while it plans to open 200 centres across different formats by March next year.
