2022 Yamaha XMax 250 gets cosmetic updates

- Gets four new colour schemes

- Powered by a 250cc single-cylinder motor

- Retains the design

Yamaha has launched the 2022 XMax 250 in Japan. The quarter-litre Japanese maxi-scooter has received visual updates for 2022 and here are all the details.

For starters, the 2022 XMax 250 is now available in four new colour options: Matte Dark Green, Glossy Red, Glossy White, and Dark Grey. Elsewhere, it's retained the sporty butch maxi-scooter design as the previous year's model. The fascia houses a sharp split LED headlight and the styling is quite youthful.

Yamaha Instrument Cluster

Yamaha has plonked a 250cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine in the XMax 250. It develops 22.5bhp and 24.3Nm. Apart from LED illumination, the 2022 Yamaha XMax 250 gets a semi-digital instrument cluster and traction control too.

Suspension duties are done by conventional telescopic forks and dual rear springs. And the braking hardware comprises a front and rear disc with dual-channel ABS.

In Japan, the 2022 Yamaha XMax 250 is priced at JPY 6,54,500 (approximately Rs 3.9 lakh). For reference, the Keeway Vieste 300 retails around the same asking price (on-road). Currently, Yamaha India only offers the Aerox 155 as its maxi-scooter offering.
