- 2021 MV Agusta F3 Rosso gets a Euro5-compliant engine
- Receives a new IMU inertial platform
- Gets a Bluetooth-enabled 5.5-inch TFT display
Italian two-wheeler maker, MV Agusta has revealed the 2021 iteration of its middleweight supersport model, the F3 800 Rosso.
The biggest upgrade on the 2021 model is its compliance with the Euro5 emission norms. The motorcycle retains the 798cc, inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled setup. The updated motor delivers 145bhp of power at 13,000rpm and 87Nm of peak torque at 10,100rpm. The old model, for reference, produced 146bhp at 13,000rpm and 88Nm at 10,600rpm. The six-speed gearbox on the 2021 model benefits from the Quick-Shift EAS 3.0 bi-directional quickshifter.
Electronic rider aids, which now work with a new IMU inertial platform, include cornering ABS and lean-sensitive traction control system, and front lift control. The cockpit comprises a Bluetooth-enabled 5.5-inch TFT display that works with MV Ride App.
While the mechanical specifications and the feature list has received a major overhaul, the styling remains similar to the old model. Thus, the 2021 MV Agusta F3 Rosso continues to feature a single-pod headlight, rear-view mirror integrated turn indicators, a full-fairing design, split-style seats, triple-outlet exhaust canisters, and a single-sided swingarm. The hardware on the motorcycle includes Marzocchi upside-down front fork, a Sachs rear mono-shock, twin discs at the front, a single rotor at the back, and Brembo-sourced callipers.
The India launch details for the 2021 MV Agusta F3 Rosso are not available yet, although we do not expect to see this model on our shores anytime soon.
