KTM has announced the launch of the 2020 iteration of the 250 Duke in the Indian market. The new model now features a 390 Duke-style LED headlight instead of the halogen unit. Here we list the top highlights of the quarter-litre naked roadster from the Austrian two-wheeler brand.
Design
The changes are limited to the addition of the new LED headlight at the front. The rest of the styling cues remain unaltered, and the 2020 KTM 250 Duke continues to pack a naked roadster design. Thus, the motorcycle comes equipped with a muscular fuel tank, a split-style step-up seat and an under-cowl. The feature list, too, remains unchanged, and the 250 Duke uses a fully-digital instrument cluster, one-touch start, LED DRLs, LED taillight and LED indicators.
Colours
The motorcycle is available in the same colour options as before – Dark Galvano and Silver Metallic. The Dark Galvano comes with orange rims while the Silver Metallic features black wheels.
Engine
The 250 Duke is powered by a 248cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor is tuned to produce 29.5bhp at 9,000rpm and 24Nm at 7,500rpm. The transmission benefits from an assist and a slipper clutch function.
Hardware
The suspension duties on the motorcycle are handled by upside-down WP front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock. Anchoring power comes from disc brakes at both wheels while the safety-net includes a dual-channel ABS. The ABS tech features a Supermoto mode that disengages the safety-net on the rear wheel.
Price
The new KTM 250 Duke has been priced at Rs 2,09,280 (ex-showroom), which is higher by Rs 3,968 over the previous model.
