It is comfortable to all my family happily ride 15000 kilometers and good mileage 55-60 kmpl with economy driving. Easily speed pick upto 80. In winter self starting at morning not properly work other wise it is a good bike for all works daily approximately we ride minimum 100 km but we don't face any problems.

Activa 3g-buying experience was very good,they explained everything in detailed along with delivery and waiting time.Riding experience :for a taller person -its not that good,after a while say 6 months you will start having severe back and neck pains.Its good for shorter people.Looks is basic /ordinary.They would have added more features at front for carrying things or keeping small stuff.Performance : company claims a mileage of 65 km/l but it in actual its 30 km/l .Tested many times even when vehicle is new and also after a year.Only if you use power petrol from shell you get a mileage of 35.Servicing and maintenance cost is high or at par with bikes .An average expenditure of 1600- 2000 per service at honda service center. Pros:Good for daily commute-less travel distance Spacious -Cons:Not reliable Very uncomfortable for more than 30 km daily Head lamps are not good Overall with a spent of 70k :only u get lot of space and a little bit of comfort for small distance but comparatively very less mileage and very uncomfortable for rides more than 30km a day.

We purchased honda activa almost a year back with around 6000 kilometers now. This is our second honda product after stunner which did quite well in past 7 years. Cutting the long story short here is the real experience so far.

Buying experience

Actually it does not matter as i already had enough information, more than the sales executive at honda. Decision was already taken as many people in the circle ride this scooter.

Riding experience

Honda bikes generally do quite fine in this category and this one also played well. Pick up is ok and you can stay comfortable till speeds of 50-60kmph. It goes up to 80kmph but not suitable if you have to stop immediately. Breaking power will start reducing with regular usage. Otherwise there are no issues. Overall it is doing what it is meant for.

Looks & performance

Honda activa is no beauty queen and looks are subjective. It comes with standard design that you can easily adjust with. You can take it to office, do daily things, roam around with family in the city it performs fine everywhere.

Service & maintenance

Service cost is not too high. You can get it serviced at local vendor as well. Company does not recommend it but to can give some work to your local mechanic as he must be managing similar scooters already and spare parts are easily available.

Mileage / fuel efficiency

You cannot call it a fuel efficient scooter. If you think you can live with 35 kmpl then its fine. Very few people go on long highway rides on a honda activa getting around 40 kmpl or more. I am not counting them in because for most this will be a daily commuter.

Alternate options

There are alternate machines available for sure. You can check out tvs jupiter or yamaha fascino but there is very little difference. Every company has a good scooter available. Yamaha and tvs give better mileage (personally experienced) if this is what you want. Or external fuel cap of jupiter may attract you but still you cannot go wrong with honda activa.

Why buy / pros

Ok looks, good grip till 60 kmph speed, honda after sales is just fine

Why avoid / cons

Breaks are not good as expected, mileage is less (tvs has much better mileage)

As of my experience , it is a good vehicle for an affordable price.....
