UM has opened a new showroom in Pondicherry. Christened Western Motors, the showroom is located at 108, East Coast Road, Pakkamudianpattu, and is the 16th UM showroom in the country.
Spread over 2,888 sq. ft., Western Motors integrates sales, spares and service facilities. Apart from selling the two motorcycles in its range – the Renegade Commando and the Renegade Sports S, the showroom also sells a host of accessories and apparel. UM also offers a 24x7 roadside assistance program for its customers.
UM Motorcycles has set up shop in India in association with Lohia Motors. The motorcycles are manufactured at the latter's production facility in Uttarakhand with 75 per cent localisation. The company aims to set up over 20 new dealerships by the end of this year.
Speaking about their new showroom, Rajeev Mishra, CEO, UM Lohia Two Wheelers Pvt. Ltd said, “The South Indian market is the key market for UM Motorcycles; contributing nearly 60 per cent of the total two-wheeler market in India. Our aim has always been to reach out to our potential customer base. Pondicherry is the third dealership we have inaugurated in South India after Kochi and Bengaluru. “
