Suzuki Motorcycle India has announced the launch of the Standard Edition of its new 125cc scooter, the Avenis at Rs 86,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Previously, the Indian arm of the Japanese two-wheeler maker had introduced the Ride Connect Edition and the Race Edition of the scooter. Suzuki Motorcycle India claims that the Avenis has become a product with high demand. Thus, to cater to this response, the company decided to introduce an additional option for the Avenis.
The mechanical specifications remain unaltered and this new variant of the Avenis continues to use a 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that delivers 8.58bhp of power at 6,750rpm and a peak torque output of 10Nm at 5,500rpm. The feature list includes an external fuel cap, a large under-seat space, motorcycle-inspired rear indicators, body mount LED headlamp, and an LED tail lamp.
The styling cues retain the sharp design that is complemented by split grab rail, a sporty muffler cover, alloy wheels, and bold graphics. This variant of the scooter is available in four colours – Metallic Matte Fibroin Grey with Metallic Lush Green, Pearl Plaze Orange with Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Matte Black with Glass Sparkle Black, and Pearl Mirage White with Metallic Matte Fibroin Grey.
