Mahindra Centuro N1 base variant launched for Rs 45,700

Mahindra has launched a base variant of the Centuro called the N1 for Rs 45, 700 (Ex-showroom Delhi).  The Mumbai-based two-wheeler maker has removed certain features and has dropped the price by Rs 2,000 as compared to the higher spec O1 variant.

The N1 variant loses out on the digital console and gets in place a basic analogue metre. This means the distance-to-empty and service indicator feature won’t be seen in this variant. Other features like the flipkey, follow me lamp, engine immobiliser, anti-theft alarm and LED parking lamps will continue to be seen on the base variant of the Centuro.

The Centuro N1 is be powered by the same 107cc petrol engine that produces 8.5bhp and 8.5Nm of torque. It has been mated to a five-speed sequential gearbox via a chain drive system. It gets 130mm drums in the front and back.

The Mahindra Centuro N1 competes with the Bajaj Discover 100, Hero Splendor Plus, Honda Dream Neo, Yamaha Crux and the TVS Star.
