KTM India has updated its portfolio with the launch of the 250 Adventure. The quarter-litre adventure tourer from the Austrian brand has been launched at Rs 2,48,256 (ex-showroom Delhi). Bookings for the motorcycle have commenced at KTM showrooms across the country.
The latest model from KTM uses a BS6-compliant 248cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with electronic fuel injection that produces 29.5bhp of power and 24Nm of peak torque. The motor is linked to a six-speed transmission that benefits from a slipper and an assist clutch. Unlike the 390 Adventure, the new 250 Adventure misses a quickshifter.
The KTM 250 Adventure comes equipped with the WP APEX suspension. The rear mono-shock has a 177mm travel range with adjustable preload, while the WP APEX upside-down 43 mm front fork boasts 170mm of travel. The motorcycle rides on a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear cast wheels that are wrapped in tubeless tyres.
The braking setup includes a 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear rotor while the safety net includes a dual-channel ABS system by Bosch. The ABS tech features an additional off-road mode that disengages the safety net on the rear wheel.
KTM will also offer PowerParts for the 250 Adventure. The list of KTM PowerParts for the KTM 250 Adventure includes GPS brackets, radiator protection grille, crash bungs, headlamp protection, and handlebar pads.
