Honda introduces real-time service tracking app

- New app allows to track service progress

- Payment can be made online

- Introduced in four cities for now

Honda has launched a new mobile application that allows owners to track the service of their motorcycle or scooter in real-time.

This application is called Smart Workshop and it provides a range of services to the owner of Honda vehicles. The most important one is the real-time tracking of the vehicle’s progress inside the workshop. Once the owner hands over the bike or the scooter for service, the system will send an SMS that will have the link to track the service progress online. This is likely to provide a better service experience to the owners.

This smartphone app also has other features like an online payment system along with a way to check the overall queue of vehicles inside the service centre. The job cards can also be created digitally using this app and the final invoice will also be generated for the service.

As of now, this service is being offered only in selected cities like Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Jaipur. The Japanese brand plans to introduce this service at all its SVCs in a phase manner by the end of 2025.
