Harley-Davdison rolls out its electric bikes in Europe, US

- Harley launches Seria 1 e-bikes - Two variants on offer - Can expect more products in future

Harley-Davidson has decided to go full force with its electric bike expansion plans. The company has introduced its Serial 1 e-bike brand in Europe and the US.

The Serial 1 range of two-wheelers are a combination of low and high-speed city e-bikes. The MOSH/CTY is the brand's most affordable offering. This product has a top speed of 32kmphwith a 250W motor. The MOSH/CTY’s 529Wh li-ion battery churns out a riding range of around 170kms and requires four hours and 45 minutes to recharge.

The RUSH/CTY is a top of the line variant that gets odometer display, storage compartment and four-piston brake calipers. This model gets a 706Wh li-ion battery which achieves a maximum range of 185kms but has a longer charging time of around 7 hours. Serial 1’s RUSH/CTY STEP-THRU model shares the same features as the standard RUSH/CTY but opts for a 529Wh battery unit.

These e-bikes are just a start for the American company. We can expect more such products in future. In fact, we can expect a proper electric motorcycle from the company that could be much cheaper than the Livewire in order to appeal to the masses.
