Royal Enfield Himalayan sees 31 per cent increase in June sales

The Himalayan has seen a 31 per cent growth in June as compared to its May 2016 sales. Royal Enfield sold 1,357 units last month as against 1,030 units a month before.

It looks like this adventure motorcycle has been slowly getting traction in the Indian market. Royal Enfield is known to build classic and modern retro motorcycles, however, the Himalayan was their first all-new motorcycle since decades. So it’s obvious that the Indian market will take some time to understand the concept of Himalayan. 

Interestingly, the Indian market doesn’t have an affordable pure-adventure motorcycle. The closest we have is the Triumph Tiger XR, for which you need to shell out one million rupees. However, there has been a steady increase in adventure riders over the last couple of years and the Himalayan is the most obvious choice for them, as of now.
