2017 Suzuki Hayabusa to be significantly lighter

The sheer length and bulk of the current generation Suzuki Hayabusa makes it clear that the motorcycle weighs over 250kgs and it does, 266kgs to be precise. However, reports suggest that leaked patent images reveal that the next-gen 2017 Hayabusa will shed some weight.

The Suzuki Hayabusa has been ruling the Hypersport segment for number of years. To continue doing so, Suzuki will have to keep stepping up the game. Even though the Hayabusa weighs less than its main rival, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R, it is likely to lose more weight.

According to reports, Suzuki is working on an all-new frame design for the Busa. It is being made to be extremely lightweight but with strong cross-bracing for some rigidity. It is made from a solid cast and acts to stop any flex being transferred along the entire frame layout.

For all those complaining about the Hayabusa remaining unchanged since a long time. Be assured that there will be an all-new design wrapped around this frame along with a lot of tech.
