Auto shows held around the world serve as the perfect platform for automotive companies to flaunt their technical prowess. And what better way to do this than showcase some eccentric concepts! While this year's Auto Expo wasn't exactly overflowing with conpcepts vehicles (especially for two-wheelers), we have compiled a list of the top 5 interesting concepts shown in biennial event -

TVS Akula 310

The Akula 310 is a carbon fibre clad fully faired version of the G 310R, which is the first offspring of the BMW-TVS venture. Built to commemorate 33 years of TVS Racing, the Akula 310 has been developed as a lightweiht track tool. Enclosed in the trellis frame is a liquid cooled 313cc single cylinder engine, mated to a six-speed transmission. The Akula 310 comes kitted with adjustable suspension and a steering damper to highlight its track-focussed character. If and when it goes into production, and it might take a while for TVS to reach there, the Akua 310 will be the first fully-faired motorcycle from the company.

Honda CX-02

The Honda CX-02 follows the footsteps of the CX-01 as the second fully in-house developed concept motorcycle by the company's R&D centre in Manesar. Honda says that the the CX-02, or Concept Cross 02, was designed with the Indian youth as the target audience. It gets the futuristic looks of a global model while being capable of handling Indian road conditions, which necessitates taking the adventure touring approach. While chances of seeing a production version are quite scant, we can expect the CX-02 to influence Honda's future line-up.

Hero XF3R

While our wait for the production version of the HX250R continues, Hero MotoCorp has showcased another motorcycle for us to lust after. This streetfighter combines existing characteristic Hero styling cues with futuristic design to offer an ideal compromise of form and function. It comes loaded with state of the art mechanicals including a new trellis frame, offset mono-shock, inverted front forks, liquid-cooling and fuel-injection. Though Hero has been pretty clear that the XF3R is more of a design study, this model will majorly influence Hero's futrure performance range.

Mahindra GenZe 2.0

The Mahindra GenZe 2.0 marks the company's ambitions of going global with its products. While most manufacturers would have chosen to go with a mass production model or a performance-focussed bike, Mahindra chose to go the eco-friendly way to make its mark. Apart from its quirky looks, the GenZe 2.0 also comes with several smart technologies to make it futuristic.

TVS EntorQ 210

The TVS EntorQ 210 was developed in-house by TVS as touring scooter. While the concept of touring scooters is quite new for the Indian market, it is quite a popular one globally. The EntorQ 210 is propelled by a 210cc liquid-cooled fuel-injected single-cylinder engine. TVS has equipped the EntorQ 210 with LED lamps, radial tyres, petal discs with ABS and a smartphone compatible electronic dashboard. While it might be a while before we get to see a prodcution version fo the EntorQ 210, we sincerely hope that TVS incorportes at least some of these features and styling cues in its future range.
