Kawasaki has revealed the prices and details for its 2021 KLX series for the US market. The company has listed the prices of three models – KLX140R, KLX140R L and the KLX230R. The most affordable model, the KLX140R is available for USD 3,149 while the KLX140R L is priced at USD 3,449. The KLX230R is available for USD 4,399.
The motorcycles feature an off-road biased design that’s emphasised by features like long-travel suspension, tall-set exhaust, wire-spoke wheels and knobby tyres. The KLX140R and the KLX140R L are aimed for track/off-road use only, and thus they do not get features such as headlight, taillight, turn indicators or rear-view mirrors. The KLX230R, on the other hand, gets all hardware to make it street-legal.
The KLX140R and the KLX140R L use a 144cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine while the KLX230R is powered by a 233cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor.
Apart from the KLX series, Kawasaki has also announced the prices for the 2021 KX range in the US. In other updates, Kawasaki India has started to update its product portfolio with the launch of BS6-compliant motorcycles. The BS6 range currently comprises of Ninja 650, Z650, Ninja 1000SX and W800.
